Lone Star College-Montgomery’s (LSC-M) National English Honor Society, Sigma Kappa Delta (SKD), is proud to have announced the successful conclusion of their 5th Annual Sock Drive, which accumulated approximately 400 pairs of socks for those in need. The collected socks were donated to the Salvation Army Shelter in Conroe, Texas, demonstrating LSC-M’s continuing commitment to community service and support.

The Lone Star College-Tomball lifePATH® Special Olympics College Club flag football and basketball team will be going for gold at the 2025 Special Olympics Texas State Games. The team will also host the University Interscholastic League (UIL) Area Four Special Olympic Basketball Tournament at LSC-Tomball.

Lone Star College-Montgomery is thrilled to celebrate a year of remarkable achievement, capped off by the resounding success of its community outreach efforts at the 2024 CAF Wings Over Houston Airshow. With preliminary attendance numbers soaring to nearly 130,000 over the weekend of October 25–27, the event solidified its place as one of the most highly anticipated airshows in the world. Visitors from 47 states and 39 countries flocked to Ellington Airport, reflecting the event’s global appeal.

In a unique and impactful approach to teaching English composition, Professor Melissa Dennis’s English 1302 class at Lone Star College-Montgomery is helping students learn critical writing skills while making a positive difference in the community. Through partnerships with local nonprofits and generous funding from Sequent Energy, students are engaged in meaningful projects that address various community needs.
