The holiday season is the perfect time to gift yourself extra credit hours with a Lone Star College mini-mester class. Mini-mesters are short semesters that last three to four weeks and take place in December after the fall semester.
“Classes are offered online with a variety of subjects available,” said Valerie Jones, Ed.D., LSC Associate Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs. “It’s the perfect way for current Lone Star College students and students attending a four-year university to catch up or get ahead while on break.”
LSC advisors are ready to assist you in applying for admission, insuring courses will transfer to your "home" college and guide you through the registration process. They can also help you get to know what degree programs are offered by LSC and answer any other questions you may have.
“Classes are challenging and well taught,” said James Gustavus, LSC student. “I was expecting larger classes, but they have done a good job of breaking the classes up, so they are smaller. This really allows a lot more one-on-one time with the professor.”
