A one-day nationally-recognized AARP Driver Safety course will be offered through Lone Star College-North Harris’ Academy of Lifelong Learning on Tuesday, Oct. 6, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Continuing Education Building, room CE-207. The class has an updated and shorter format. Most insurance companies will give a ten percent discount when shown the driver safety certificate earned through the class.

Fees for the class are $12 for AARP members with proof of membership, and $14 for non-members. The instructor will collect cash or check payable to “AARP” for the class and workbook at the beginning of the session. The driver safety certificate is not good for ticket dismissal. You do not have to be a member of ALL to attend, but participants must register using the college’s continuing education registration#16372 and by calling 281.618.5602 or 281.618.5634.
