Lone Star College extends campus closures to June 1

Lone Star College has announced it has extended campus closures. All LSC campuses, centers and system office buildings will remain closed until June 1.

“The safety of our employees is of the utmost importance,” said Stephen C. Head, Ph.D., LSC chancellor. “Lone Star College employees have joined our students in transitioning online, working from home to ensure we continue to provide the support and resources necessary for our students to succeed.”

During this time, LSC is able to provide emergency financial grants to students to help cover expenses related to disruptions due to the coronavirus such as food, housing, course materials, technology, health care and child care through the CARES Act. Learn more by visiting LoneStar.edu/CARESAct.

“Thank you to all the faculty and staff who assisted with the resumption of over 6,300 classes online,” said Head. “Lone Star College has almost 70,000 students enrolled and taking classes this spring semester.”
