Cybersecurity defense teams are required to have skills in ethical hacking, intrusion detection and deterrence, programming, disaster recovery and business continuity. The Cybersecurity Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree will provide students with these skills and help them obtain an entry level position on such a team.
The Mobile/Web Application Development program prepares IT students with skills to build applications for mobile devices on multiple platforms. These applications allow for business and consumer transactions. Training in this program help students gain entry level positions in jobs in industries such as marketing, education, health care, government and entrepreneurship. Students in this program will learn a variety of programming languages and learn basic security skills related to mobile device activity.
“We offer two new AAS degree programs in IT that will prepare you with hands-on training for rewarding careers in this exciting and ever-evolving industry,” said LSC-Westway Park Technology Center Dean Kimberly Hubbard. “Both degree programs are housed at our center, where students learn both the technical and soft skills necessary to prepare for their future careers and industry certification.”
