HOUSTON – Financial aid and admission representatives from more than 20 public and private colleges and universities will converge at Lone Star College-University Park Oct. 16 to share information about their programs with potential transfer students.
At the fair, students will be able to meet representatives from colleges and universities and gather information from their tables, making it a one-stop-shop for students looking to transfer.
“We encourage all students who are interested in transferring to attend the fair and to start planning for the next step in their educational journey,” said Stephanie Smith, transfer services program manager at LSC-University Park. “Attendees can speak with college representatives one-on-one and get important information on application processes, financial aid, available scholarships and more.”
Representatives from University of Houston-Downtown’s Northwest campus, housed in LSC-University Park’s University Center, will be available. Through LSC-University Park’s partnership with UH-D Northwest, students can complete their associate degree at LSC-University Park and then transfer seamlessly to UH-D Northwest to continue toward a bachelor’s degree without having to change campuses.
The University Transfer Fair is open to the public and free of charge. The fair is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Transfer Services, B12.233.
