Are you thinking of purchasing a franchise? The Lone Star College-Small Business Development Center is partnering with FranNet, a nationwide franchising consulting organization, to inform and educate about purchasing and owning a franchise.
The seminar, which is free and open to the public, takes place Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. at the LSC Business Success Center, located at LSC-University Park. This is the inaugural seminar event for the LSC Business Success Center.
“We are thrilled to have FranNet join us for this inaugural seminar. Franchises are one of the fastest-growing segments of business ownership in the U.S. today,” said Miguel Lopez, LSC-SBDC executive director. “There is a perception that franchising is just fast food or retail – but that’s just not the case.”
According to FranNet, nationwide there are more than 3,100 franchise concepts in 80 different industries that run the gamut from medical care and home services to education, travel and plumbing.
“After this seminar it is our hope that attendees will walk away with a better understanding of how franchising works and if it’s the right option for them,” said Lopez.
