Lone Star College-Online has partnered with Student Services Representatives across the Lone Star College System to staff a pilot program to offer student services in an online format using Second Life, the internet-based 3-D virtual world.

The pilot project is called the Virtual Student Resource Center (VSRC) and is open for business – all we need are more students.

There are a few steps you will have to take in order to participate in the VSRC.  The program is funded from a Lone Star College System mini-grant, and began on Monday, April 13, 2009. The pilot project will end June 30, 2009, so make sure you contact us right away to take advantage of these online resources designed to meet your needs for Registration, Financial Aid, Advising and Disability/Veteran services.

 Our hours of operation will be posted in our Virtual Student Resource Center (VSRC). This pilot program is very different from previous student services offered on campus.
