Invest one Wednesday a week Oct. 5 through Nov. 2 and maximize the success of your business and attend the Business Success Seminars held from 8 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the library, room 131 (unless otherwise noted) at 9191 Barker Cypress. There is no fee to attend the seminars.
Oct. 5 - Accentuate the Positive
Dr. Bennie Lambert, LSC-CyFair Vice President of Student Success and author of “How to Grow from No,” raises the bar when it comes to positivity and success. Learn techniques and daily practices to rise to the occasion in visioning and realizing your business potential.
Oct. 12 - Free Design Tools to Help Market Your Small Business
Marketing on a shoestring? Want to punch up your flyers and social media posts? Instead of using the same old Microsoft Word templates or Instagram layouts, try something new! Librarians Dorrie Scott and Jane Stimpson introduce a variety of free online tools like Canva and Piktochart to create dynamic marketing content. This session takes place in a computer lab so you can gain hands-on practice. (Library Computer Lab 105)
Oct. 19 - Search Engine Optimization
Mark Carruba, Chief Marketing Officer for Summit Dental Centers, eliminates the confusion regarding digital marketing. Learn what practices impact your SEO (ability to be found online.) Discover how your social media and digital presence can impact how your company is perceived, recognized and rewarded.
Oct. 26 - To Franchise or Not to Franchise?
Learn how to value a business and determine if the franchise route is in your best interest from SBDC consultant and franchise owner Karen Sharp (Proforma), David and Anne Glover (The Joint Chiropractic), Chris Martin (Sport Clips) and franchise attorney Gail Shubot.
Nov. 2 - How to do Business with Big Houston Companies
Jon Nordby, Director of Talent Attraction and Marketing at the Greater Houston Partnership, gives insights into modern business practices and how to craft sales strategies that challenge the status quo.
Pre-registration is not required for this series. There will be coffee, pastries, an opportunity to share your business offering and door prizes.
