Lone Star College-CyFair’s Orchestra takes on the ambitious work of Gustav Holst’s “The Planets” with a promise for an unforgettable evening April 18.
“Bring the family to hear the celebration of the dynamic supremacy of strings, brass, rhythm and reeds,” said Dr. John Wolfskill, music director. “This concert will be out of this world featuring our young orchestra playing four movements - Mars, Venus, Mercury, and Jupiter - as well as other works that are sure to satisfy.”
In addition to showcasing the college’s talented student musicians, this concert will feature two special guest artists, Mike Harris on trumpet and Mark Holter on saxophone.
The 7:30 p.m. concert will be held in the Main Stage Theatre, located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for seniors. Group discounts are available.
