This holiday season, experience Charles Dickens’ most well-known story “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” - the inaugural co-production of Stageworks Theatre and Lone Star College-CyFair.
Everyone knows the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, the prosperous curmudgeon who believes personal wealth is more valuable than happiness of others and his “Bah! Humbug!” attitude.
However, this co-production brings a spectacular musical adaptation by Alan Menken (Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Disney's The Little Mermaid, Little Shop of Horrors) and Lynn Ahrens (Ragtime, Seussical, Once on This Island) to the LSC-CyFair stage.
“We’re excited to partner with Stageworks to offer four weeks of holiday entertainment in our beautiful Main Stage Theatre,” said Dean of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Kelly Gernhart. “Come see how these Broadway’s heavy hitters breathe fantastic new life into the classic tale with astounding music and lyrics.”
Performances of “A Christmas Carol: The Musical” will be held at 7:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. Sundays, Nov. 23-Dec. 16 at LSC-CyFair, located at 9191 Barker Cypress.
