Two of Lone Star College-Kingwood’s most experienced and accomplished music professors will share their knowledge and their music in the upcoming “Soundtrack of Our Lives” presentation.
Dr. Todd Miller and Dr. Robert Hunt will explore artists’ perceptions and understanding of how music can change or grow over time with age and life experience.
During this Curious Minds lecture, the two will briefly discuss the music then perform from a variety of eras and genres that will include Beethoven, Brahms, Ravel, Schumann, and Vaughan Williams, among others.
“Dr. Hunt and I are working musicians who make music every day in one way or another-usually in multiple ways,” shared Dr. Miller. “This is an honest presentation surrounding the technical and artistic demands of music we have known for decades. We are committed to reflecting our views of the music and poetry presented, and we will share how the joys and challenges of life have altered our understanding and perspective of this music now that we are older.”
