Lone Star College-CyFair Art Department welcomes artist and alumni Cintia Rico with “Around Beauty,” an exhibition celebrating the beauty of curves May 17 to June 3 in the Bosque Gallery.
Rico believes curves are alluring because of their structural efficiency and fluidity. Her work pulls inspiration from natural elements as she creates pieces that prove beauty is found in the round.
“Cintia, who was accepted into the UH Clear Lake University graduate program in art, took and excelled in every art course LSC-CyFair offered,” said Suzanne Shield-Polk, LSC-CyFair art professor. “The work in her exhibition is informed by both art and science. It is phenomena, highly creative work.”
Come to meet the artist in person at the opening week reception set from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 19.
The Bosque Gallery is located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
