Remember that dream you put on hold? Now is the time for second chances - no matter your age or what work and personal goals you’re juggling – and your success begins at Lone Star College-CyFair.
LSC-CyFair is a great option to fit school in a busy schedule and to find a supportive environment whatever your situation may be. Everyone will take their own unique journey to reaching goals, but LSC-CyFair is where support meets success.
Several alumni have attributed their educational achievements to the flexible schedules and the sincere encouragement, guidance and help of the college’s faculty and staff, such as recent 76-year-old graduate Virginia Kelley, Evening and Weekend College (EWC) transfer student Mialee Wood and filmmaker/multimedia coordinator Julissa Guajardo.
Earning two associate degrees while helping at the family restaurant and working part-time jobs, Guajardo is pursuing a bachelor’s with a new goal of leading the college’s Video and Post-Production program. Wood, a future world-traveling journalist, is taking the next step at Brigham Young University-Idaho in pursuit of a bachelor’s in journalism. And Kelley, proving dreams have no limits, graduated after 11 years of taking one class at a time, is preparing for another degree. Read their full stories in the fall Cy Spotlights.
