Lone Star College-CyFair’s Art Department features Chuck Drumm’s “Chalkboard Series” exhibition June 8 through July 16 in the Bosque Gallery.
Drumm explores the evolution of discovering one’s personal truths in this series that exemplifies the third phase of development in children’s art, Symbolism, in which children recognize the story-telling possibilities of art.
By juxtaposing children’s drawings with psychological self-tests, which were developed to learn more about human behavior and used to evaluate personality traits, Drumm brings together processes of both children’s and adult’s self-discovery.
Meet the artist in person, whose work has been exhibited nationally, and learn more about the other phases of children’s art at the artist reception from noon – 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10.
The Bosque Gallery is located in the Center for the Arts building on the Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
