Bridgett N. Johnson has been named Lone Star College Executive Vice Chancellor, Operations, effective Sept. 11. Johnson will oversee system-wide operations beginning with the Office of Technology Services and Analytics and Institutional Research divisions.
“I worked closely with Bridgett in several capacities at Lone Star College from Chief Operating Officer, to General Counsel, and Interim College President at LSC-Kingwood over the years. Bridgett is an incredibly talented professional with a big heart for helping students,” said Mario K. Castillo, J.D., LSC Chancellor. “I know Bridgett will help our students get to where they want to go from day one.”
Johnson currently serves as the South Texas College of Law Houston Chief Administrative Officer and oversees Information Technology, Finance and Administration, Property Services, Human Resources, Procurement Safety and Security and Risk Management. Prior to that, Johnson held various positions at LSC, including Senior Associate Vice President, Administrative Services.
“I am very excited to return to Lone Star College and join this very talented leadership team,” said Johnson. “Lone Star College has a long history of playing an important role in the community and I am eager to continue that mission of ensuring our students get the support they need to be successful.”
Johnson earned a Master of Business Administration degree from LeTourneau University and is pursuing a Doctor of Education from Sam Houston State University.
“Given the importance of information technology that our students rely on, this leadership change is calculated to align our resources more strategically,” said Jennifer Mott, LSC Chief Financial Officer. “It has become increasingly clear that the Office of Technology Services and Analytics and Institutional Research departments will benefit from dedicated leadership.”
