Lone Star College-Magnolia Center scheduled to open spring 2026

LSC-Magnolia Center Groundbreaking Ceremony
Lone Star College recently broke ground on the LSC-Magnolia Center, a satellite facility under LSC-Montgomery.

Lone Star College recently broke ground on the LSC-Magnolia Center, a satellite facility under LSC-Montgomery to ensure residents in its service district receive top-quality educational opportunities to change lives and build better communities.

“The Lone Star College-Magnolia Center will be a state-of-the-art center offering various academic and workforce programs leading to an associate degree, certifications or transferable credit hours to a four-year university,” said De’ Reese Reid-Hart, Ed.D., LSC-Montgomery president. “Lone Star College and Lone Star College-Montgomery are excited to open this full-service center and continue to work with Magnolia ISD and the Magnolia Chamber of Commerce to support the community’s needs.”

The LSC-Magnolia Center, part of the approved $485 million bond referendum in 2014, will offer workforce programs in HVAC and EMT/Paramedic to help address the growing need in those industries. The 51,871-square-foot facility will also house academic and continuing education classrooms, computer labs, science labs, shared study spaces, a testing center and a student services area.

“Lone Star College-Magnolia Center will be a monumental fixture in the community by providing pathways to help students and the community reach their academic goals, whether they choose to transfer, seek local employment or learn a new skill,” said Reid-Hart.

The LSC-Magnolia Center will be located at 1280 Escondido Drive near Magnolia West High School. Construction at the satellite facility is scheduled to be completed December 2025, with classes starting spring 2026. Lean more at LoneStar.edu/MagnoliaCenter.
