It’s time for active adults 50 and better to enjoy making new friends as well as a wide variety of classes, day trips, activities and experiences in the Academy for Lifelong Learning (A.L.L.) at Lone Star College-CyFair.
The A.L.L. Open House will be held from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Sept. 8 in the Conference Center on the campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
“A.L.L. members have a unique opportunity to interact with friends, neighbors and community leaders with similar interests,” said Continuing Education Director Kenya White. “With new classes and trips put in the schedule every semester, A.L.L. has something for everyone.”
The fall schedule features AARP Driver Safety, classes on cooking, birding, home health care, travel, arts and crafts and financial information for seniors, just to name a few.
The annual membership fee of $20 allows members to attend most classes free (with some requiring only a nominal event, supply or entrance fee) as well as take advantage of extra perks at the college and in the area, such as discounts at plays, concerts, movies and restaurants.
