Check out Summer L.I.F.E. from Cat and Dog Programs to Scuba Diving and Acrylic Pouring

LIFE: Learning, Inspiration, Fellowship, and EnrichmentWhat is happening every other Monday this summer at Lone Star College-CyFair?  L.I.F.E. programs that shouldn’t be missed.

This summer’s free Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment programs kick off with the “Whiskers Abroad” Book Signing and Author Talk set June 12. Author Carrie Carter explores the wonders and culture of Japan through a discussion of her cat-themed travelogue, one the events in LSC-CyFair library’s celebration of National Adopt-a-Cat Month.

L.I.F.E. continues June 26 with Librarian Rachel Hugenberg’s discussion of how adult coloring is trending and impacting the mind; July 10 with a special dog-themed program for the “Dog Days of Summer”; and July 24 with lessons on emotional agility and how to, not only manage emotions, but embrace change and thrive.

In August, L.I.F.E attendees will vicariously explore the Caribbean and Pacific with Librarian Victoria Brame in “A Deep Dive into the World of Scuba” Aug. 7 followed with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the art world learning acrylic pouring techniques with Librarian Krissy Conn Aug. 21.

All programs will be held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC Room 131.
