Lone Star College to host a series of career fairs

Lone Star College will hold three career fairs in April to assist LSC students and the public in finding new employment. The events will provide participants the opportunity to explore new career options in a variety of industries.

“There are certain advantages to attending a career fair that you cannot get with an online job search,” said Linda Leto Head, LSC senior associate vice chancellor, External and Employer Relations. “These events help you become comfortable in meeting potential employers and teach you how to present yourself. It also offers opportunities to network with people who can help you find the perfect job.”

The LSC career fairs are:

Technical Careers & Skilled Trades
LSC-North Harris (Student Services Building)
April 4, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Professional Careers & Administrative Services
LSC-CyFair (College Center)
April 23, 3:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Military Veterans can take advantage of VIP admission and enter 30 minutes before the doors are open to the public at these events. Attendees are urged to dress professionally and a resume is required to enter.

The career fairs are hosted by Lone Star College Division of External and Employer Relations. Visit LoneStar.edu/CareerFairs to learn more.

LSC has also teamed up with The Woodlands Chamber of Commerce to host the annual Community Job Fair. This event is open to the public and no registration is necessary. Business attire is encouraged as well as bringing copies of your resume. Visit WoodlandsChamber.org/Events to learn more.
