Register for a 16-week, 14-week, 12-week, or an 8-week course at LSC-Kingwood or the satellite centers. For more information, visit https://www.lonestar.edu/whats-new.
Lone Star College offers a variety of programs and courses tailored to fit students’ needs.
Instead of taking a traditional 16-week class this fall, students can register for an eight-week, 12-week, or 14-week class and still learn the complete material covered in a standard 16-week course. Other flexible options include Friday evening and weekend courses. The shorter programs allow students, with limited time, a chance to earn a college education.
“One advantage to these selections is acceleration. Students will be able to complete core requirements faster toward a degree or be core complete before transferring to a four-year university,” said David Baty, vice president of instruction at LSC-Kingwood.
The fall 2022 semester begins Aug. 29. All course schedules are available at LSC-Kingwood, LSC-Atascocita Center, and LSC-Process Technology Center. Registration is ongoing, and classes are in face-to-face, online, and hybrid formats. The timetable for each choice is below.
- 16-week: Aug. 29-Dec. 18
- 14-week: Sept. 12-Dec. 18
- 12-week: Sept. 26-Dec. 18
- 8-week (first session): Aug. 29-Oct. 19
- 8-week (second session): Oct. 26-Dec. 18
“As you can see, we offer a variety of programs to help individuals meet their educational goals,” said Dr. Melissa Gonzalez, LSC-Kingwood president. “We encourage you to visit our campus and start the path to a successful future.”
