Lone Star College will host 2023 commencement ceremonies for all eight campuses May 11-13.
“Commencement marks a new beginning for our new graduates, whether they choose to further their education at a four-year university or enter the workforce,” said Stephen C. Head, Ph.D., LSC Chancellor. “We are extremely proud of their accomplishments and are excited to share this momentous occasion with them and their loved ones.”
LSC will award diplomas and certifications to students who fulfilled their requirements in summer and fall 2022 and candidates who will complete their programs in spring and summer 2023. These graduates represent various programs, including baccalaureate, associate or workforce degrees and certifications, GED completers and Early College High School students.

“Lone Star College was an economical choice for me to earn a bachelor’s degree in Energy, Manufacturing and Trades Management,” said Jose R. Lopez, LSC spring 2023 graduate. “During the pandemic, I planned to attend the University of Houston, but I found that Lone Star College offered a quality education that was less expensive. I couldn’t pass it up.”
LSC awarded 9,476 students with a degree or certificate during spring 2022 commencement celebrations, representing a 2% increase from 2021. In addition, LSC conferred 103 baccalaureate degrees during a special ceremony.
