Education pays according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics. The government agency reported workers with a high school diploma earned a median weekly salary of $853 compared to $1,005 for those who have an associate degree. That’s almost $8,000 more per year in annual income.

The fall 2023 semester at LSC begins Monday, Aug. 28. Courses are structured to help students complete a degree, transfer to a four-year university or enter the workforce. Courses include accounting, anthropology, arts, biology, business, chemistry, criminal justice, communications, economics, drama, government, EDUC 1300, English, foreign languages, health care programs, history, humanities, math, speech and various workforce programs.
