Lone Star College-Kingwood is partnering with the East Montgomery Improvement District and East Montgomery Rotary Club to offer thousands of dollars in scholarships to select high school seniors.
The “College Connections” (formerly Project Connections) event will have thousands of dollars in scholarships available for seniors at Porter, New Caney, Splendora, and Caney Creek High Schools.
There will also be door prizes. Chick-Fil-A will be provided as well.
“This collaborative effort aims to empower juniors and seniors with invaluable resources for their academic journey,” said Nia Ramirez, Student Outreach Manager. “Don't miss out on this chance to explore scholarship options, attend informative sessions on advising and financial aid (offered in both English and Spanish), and connect with various campus resources.”
To qualify for the scholarships, students must have completed the scholarship application online by Thursday, February 29th.
The scholarships can be used at Lone Star College or any other institution.
Last year, 40 scholarships were awarded to students during the event.
“College Connections” will take place Tuesday, March 5th at Lone Star College-Kingwood. It will be held in the Student Conference Center from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
