Join Fern Brady, Houston’s Municipal Liaison for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) as she shares about this initiative designed to help writers push past their inner editor to a finished messy first draft and provide community encouragement while they work on projects. Come find out the tools, tips, and strategies for a successful NaNoWriMo November as well as what the community offers year round.
Nov. 17: Diwali
Join Usha Dontharaju, part-time Specialist IV in the library, to celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights! Learn about its traditions and the story behind its celebration, a popular typically five-day festival of Hinduism. (This workshop is early due to the Thanksgiving holiday.)
