Individuals interested in a career in private security have a new way to set themselves apart from other potential job candidates thanks to the Lone Star College-North Harris continuing education program. A new class, starting in October, offers private security officer training directly from experienced private security personnel and instructors with law enforcement and corrections experience.

Designed for the person with little or no experience in the field, the Private Security Officer course prepares students for a career in building security, loss prevention, home security monitoring and other opportunities in the private security sector. The class will focus on the concepts and knowledge critical to today’s security roles. 

The three-week class is held Monday through Thursday, Oct. 4 – 21 at the LSC-North Harris campus located at 2700 W.W. Thorne Drive.
