Students and their families are invited to the Lone Star College-Kingwood Fall Registration Fair, which takes place over two days in August.
The Fair will run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Wednesday, August 6th and Thursday, August 7th, in the Student Conference Center (SCC) on the LSC-Kingwood campus.
Sessions will be offered on Financial Aid and New Student Orientation, in English and Spanish. Advisors will be on hand to answer questions.
Student Outreach Manager Nia Ramirez says students and families will also have a chance to view all the programs and resources the college has to offer.
“Our Registration Fair is the first step in one’s academic journey, marking the beginning of a great opportunity to build connections, experience new adventures, and explore endless possibilities. We will have food for the family and access to great resources.”
Visitors will have the opportunity during the event to meet with campus President, Dr. Melissa Gonzalez, and her leadership team. That meet-and-greet is scheduled for 1 p.m. in the SCC, room 108/109.
“I’m thrilled to have the chance to meet students and their families,” Dr. Gonzalez said. “As a first-generation college student myself, I know firsthand how life-changing higher education can be. Lone Star College offers opportunities for workforce certificates as well as educational degrees that can ensure a brighter future for students and oftentimes for their families as well.”
