Lone Star college Cy-Fair’s Learning, Inspiration, Friendship and Enrichment (L.I.F.E.) topics in July cover insurance benefits and a life journey from oceans to freshwater.
These free summer programs will be held at 10 a.m. in the library meeting room, LRNC 131.
Save the date, July 11, for a beginner’s class on insurance benefits. While The Reverend Kevin Keaton is not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice, he is a benefits consultant with a decade of experience on the Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church USA, who will discuss how insurance benefits work and answer related questions.
Then join LSC-CyFair Professor of Biology, Troy Giambernardi, July 25 as he takes attendees on a journey from the oceans to freshwater. He will discuss the starfish and sea otters research of Robert Payne and Jim Estes, respectively, expand into more modern-day examples, and work his way through trophic cascades to include LSC-CyFair’s ponds.
