Lone Star College-CyFair’s Education Speaker Series kicks off this spring with a virtual event on “Leadership in Education” set 6:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 22.
Attendees at the upcoming event will hear from Bennie Mayes about his role as Waller Independent School District’s Chief of Secondary Schools.
“This speaker series is open to all who are interested in the education careers,” said Shamim Arastu, LSC-CyFair professor.
The series is designed to provide unique insights into the roles of educators at all levels. Pre-service teachers can gain wisdom and best practices from those currently in the profession of teaching, she said.
“This month, we are excited to have Mr. Mayes join us to cover the essential elements of effective leadership in education and the impact of administrative decisions on teachers and students,” said Arastu.
