Lone Star College System (LSCS) remains a top educational choice for 91,349 in spring 2025, sparking a remarkable 7% increase in enrollment from spring 2024 (85,278). This data is based on Official Day numbers recorded 12 academic days after a semester begins.
“Lone Star College System is attracting more students than ever, reflecting our commitment to providing exceptional educational opportunities that help them achieve their goals,” said Gerald F. Napoles, Ph.D., LSC vice chancellor, Student Success. “We take pride in serving our community by offering dynamic academic programs, dedicated faculty and staff, and the support services students need to succeed in their education and beyond.”
LSCS has also aligned its goals with the real needs of students to ensure they receive the guidance and resources necessary to succeed in and out of the classroom. The college prioritizes student success by enhancing financial aid access, strengthening advising services, increasing retention and fostering a welcoming and supportive environment.
“Attending Lone Star College has been a transformative experience that has ignited my passion for healthcare and engineering,” said Narjis Fatima, LSC-North Harris student. “Additionally, it has equipped me with the skills and determination to make a meaningful impact and help provide quality care to those in need.”
The LSCS spring 2025 semester started with 6,072 more students enrolled in 576,281 (up nearly 6%) credit hours, ranking as the college’s first spring term for headcount and credit hours. Additionally, this data reflects the community’s increased need for academic and workforce programs at LSCS that help them earn a degree, transfer to a four-year university or enter the workforce.
“The growth this spring follows the highest enrollment in fall 2024 with 91,885 students, the first time Lone Star College served more than 90,000 students,” said Napoles.
