Students looking to maximize their holiday break can register now for three or four-week Winter Mini-Mesters that begin Monday, Dec. 16.
The Winter Mini-Mester is a “miniature semester” that takes place between the fall and spring semesters giving students the opportunity to accelerate graduation, keep up momentum and take advantage of time off.
“Taking at least one mini-mester course is an easy way to stay on track for graduation,” said Dr. Derrick Manns, vice president of Enrollment Management. “It’s a great way to maximize your time during the winter break and move ahead.”
The three-week mini-mester runs through Sunday, Jan. 5, and the four-week mini-mester runs through Sunday, Jan. 12. Students who enroll in the Winter Mini-Mester must pay for their courses by Friday, Dec. 6.
A variety of subjects are offered online and in person. LSC-North Harris courses are designed to fit a diverse spectrum of academic goals, and can lead to certificates, associate degrees or university transfer. Credit classes range from art and biology to cosmetology and welding technology.
The spring 2020 semester registration is also open. Classes for the spring 2020 semester will begin on Monday, Jan. 13.
