(Dec. 3, 2010) – The Lone Star College System Board of Trustees voted at its regular meeting on Dec. 2 to accept the resignation of Chris Daniel, Position 2 trustee.
Daniel’s resignation came after he was elected in the recent Nov. 2 general elections as the new Harris County District Clerk. Daniel begins serving as district clerk on Jan. 1.
“The board reluctantly accepts this resignation,” said Randy Bates, board chairman. He praised Daniel and thanked him for his leadership.
“Before me I see an up-and-coming great leader, not only in Houston, but also the state of Texas,” Bates said.
In turn, Daniel thanked the members of the board of trustees, faculty and staff at LSCS. “I am proud of the results LSCS has achieved from the very beginning and that I was able to be an integral part of the college system,” Daniel said.
