Lone Star College-CyFair Medical Radiologic Technology (MRT) students recently won two first-place honors at the annual Texas Society of Radiologic Technologists conference held at LSC-Montgomery.

Dan Macavei’s presentation took first in the Student Leadership Competition, while Jennifer Perritt, Myrna Garcia, Debbie Vaglienty and Van Nguyen took first in the Scientific Display Competition for “Safer Portable X-Ray Units.”

“We are extremely proud of these students’ success and representing Lone Star College-CyFair in such an exemplary manner,” said Director of Radiologic Technology Cynthia Robertson.

The Radiology Student Association’s purpose is to improve communication between radiology program students and the community, to model professionalism, to provide members with knowledge of the radiology field, and expand community knowledge of radiation safety and healthy living.
