Financial aid assistance is a service provided by North Harris College. Funding is provided by various sources including federal, state, and local governments; community organizations, private corporations and individuals to help students meet the cost of attendance. Students need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) www.fafsa.ed.gov each year.
“All students, especially high school seniors and first time freshman, need to be aware that there is a priority date of April 1 for filing financial aid applications,” says Ken Feld, Lone Star College-North Harris director for financial aid. “There is accessible money out there for students’ based on a wide-variety of criteria, but there is also a process and that takes time. The earlier you start the application process, the more we can help you out.”
