“Free activities and family fun” is the theme of this year’s Lone Star College-Tomball Holiday Fest. The annual community event is free, open to the public, and takes place on Friday, December 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This year’s Holiday Fest will take place inside to due to expected weather conditions.
For Holiday Fest, LSC-Tomball’s Beckendorf Conference Center, Black Box theater and adjacent parking lot will be transformed into a decorative, festive land, full of indoor and outdoor activities, including children’s games and crafts, bounce houses, live entertainment, special guest appearances, community group activities, hay rides and train rides. As an added treat, children will be able to meet and take a photo with the guest of honor, Santa Claus.
All games and activities will be free, along with the cookies, popcorn, punch and coffee that will be served during the event. Hot dogs and sodas will be available for purchase.
“Last year, over 3,500 guests came to enjoy the festivities and we look forward to hosting the community again this year,” said Nicole Finkbeiner, LSC-Tomball’s executive director of college relations and Holiday Fest co-chair. “LSC-Tomball employees and students look forward to this event all year and we are excited to celebrate another holiday season with our Tomball area community.”
In the spirit of giving and goodwill, Holiday Fest guests are encouraged to bring donations for area senior citizen facilities and Boys & Girls Country. Visit LoneStar.edu/tomball-holidayfest for a list of items needed.
