In celebration of Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month and as part of a nationwide campaign, LSC-CyFair’s Sonography Department is helping raise awareness about ultrasounds and the role they have in medicine.
Community members are welcome to schedule a tour of the Sonography labs to get an up close view of the ultrasound equipment and ultrasound equipment, receive a free non-diagnostic ultrasound examination and learn more about LSC-CyFair’s Sonography program.

The labs are located in the Health Science Center, rooms 130 – 133, on the campus at 9191 Barker Cypress. Appointments for tours and non-diagnostic ultrasound examinations are available through Oct. 29.
The Medical Ultrasound Awareness Month is a joint effort of the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), American Society of Echocardiography (ASE), Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) and Society for Vascular Ultrasound (SVU).
