HOUSTON (Dec. 17, 2012) – Heloise, the most trusted name in lifestyle advice, will be a keynote speaker at the 2013 Lone Star College Women’s Conference set for April 12.

This annual event, which will be held at the Lone Star Community Building in The Woodlands, is an opportunity for attendees to network with local professionals and enhance their skills.

Topics to be covered as part of this year’s conference include the value of communicating effectively to achieve accountability; setting goals for financial freedom; value of collaboration; the electronic “you”; and saving time and stress while serving as a super woman to life's demands.

Last year’s inaugural conference drew more than 225 women to campus for a day-long program; this year, a capacity crowd is expected.

Among the scheduled speakers this year is Heloise, who has been sharing her lifestyle management hints with newspaper and magazine readers for more than three decades. Her Hints have become a household habit for many and the Hints from Heloise column is internationally syndicated in more than 400 newspapers. She has also been a contributing editor and columnist for Good Housekeeping magazine for more than 25 years.

Heloise is the author of more than a dozen best-selling books with more than 7 million copies in print. Her newest book, Handy Household Hints from Heloise, was published recently. She is a frequent guest on national and local radio and television shows, including The Today Show, The View, CNN and Late Night with David Letterman.

Other featured speakers are Anne Pritchard Grady helping audiences turn concepts and ideas into practical, easy to implement strategies.  Toni Harris joins the conference speaking on melding best practices with real world solutions. Speaking on business empowerment is Deb Siverson.  And popular speaker from last year, Luke Quanstrom, returns this year to speak on social media.
