In an effort to help students and community members understand the importance of what is occurring, Lone Star College-CyFair’s History and Government Departments will host an “Invasion of Ukraine” panel discussion Monday, March 28.
“This invasion affects the United States, too,” said Robert O’Brien, professor of history and panel discussion event coordinator. “Russia's invasion of Ukraine is horrific and a direct attack on democracy. Our panelists will discuss various aspects of this war including the history of Russian-Ukraine relations, how this affects Europe and the response from the world.”
For this discussion and lengthy Q&A, the panelists will include history professors Keith Altavilla and Rob Coyle, government professors Miranda Ashworth, Milosz Kucharski and William Schulz, Jr., who will serve as moderator.
Join this free discussion in person from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. in the Center for Academic and Student Affairs (CASA), room 110 or attend virtually at LoneStar.edu/UkrainePanel with the password Ukraine.
