Lone Star College-Tomball is welcoming back alumni with a reception and opportunity to mix, mingle, and reminisce with faculty and friends and to celebrate the 2019 graduating class.
Receptions will be held on Thursday, April 18 following the Commencement Orientation sessions for graduates. The first reception for graduates will begin at 2:00 p.m. following the afternoon orientation.
The Alumni and Friends Reception includes graduates attending the evening orientation session, former LSC-Tomball students and invited guests. The evening reception will begin at 7:30. Both receptions will be held in the Commons on the LSC-Tomball campus. Graduates and Alumni are encouraged to RSVP. Please email us for more information.
“Every year we host orientations for graduating students to help prepare them for the commencement ceremony. We thought it would be really exciting to invite our alumni to a reception following the evening orientation,” said Donielle Miller about the first of its kind celebration that brings together the current graduating class with the college’s alumni.
Miller, who is Director of Marketing and Events and the organizer of the reception, says while the guests enjoy refreshments, LSC-Tomball leaders will offer advice and encouragement to the graduating class.
“We have a lot of students who transfer to four year schools after graduating and we also have a lot of students who graduate with associates degrees and certificates who go on to do amazing things. We want to them to connect back and know that LSC-Tomball is still their home.”
