Lone Star College-CyFair’s Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) kicks off another semester of thought-provoking events with a “How to Influence Public Officials” workshop this September.
Recent survey data from the Pew Research Center indicates that only 1 out of 5 Americans trust the government and 1 out of 2 believe they can influence how it operates, said Associate Professor of Political Science John Duerk.
“If you would like to learn more about the ways that you can affect positive policy changes in your community, then please attend this important workshop by Brad Pritchett, Policy and Advocacy Strategist from the American Civil Liberties Union office here in Houston,” he said.
This event is set Sept. 28 from 4 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. in the Center for Academic and Student Affairs (CASA) room 110 on the LSC-CyFair campus at 9191 Barker Cypress.
