The Academy for Lifelong Learning at Lone Star College-University Park will host an open house from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Energy & Manufacturing Institute, 11521 Compaq Center West Drive in Houston. Free parking is available next to the building.

The Academy for Lifelong Learning is a membership community that offers free and low-cost classes, events and activities for adults age 50 and older. Classes begin in September. Annual campus memberships are $20. Global memberships that allow participants access to classes at all six Lone Star College locations are $55.
