Do you need money for college but don’t know how financial aid works? Lone Star College-University Park can assist students with several free financial aid workshops available through April 1.
LSC-University Park’s office of financial aid will provide students with on-site assistance in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for federal and state financial aid programs such as grants, student loans and work study.
Workshops will be held on the following Thursdays: Feb. 28, March 7, March 21 and March 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. and on the following Mondays: March 25 and April 1, from 5 to 7 p.m. Students and their parents should bring their completed 2012 tax return and W2s.
All workshops will be held in Building 13, Room 731 of at LSC-University Park, 20515 State Highway 249, Houston, TX 77070.
