LSC-North Harris
Dance Department presents “Entwined,”
Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Theater. The production includes
several student choreographic works ranging from modern, jazz, Latin, and hip
hop and features students from the Ballet and Jazz Technique classes this
semester.
Among the many talented student choreographers is Brenton Hamilton. "Lo Sforzo," choreographed by Hamilton, highlights how the downward spiral of mental illness and struggle affects our relationships with others.
"Latin Nights," choreographed by Nick De Leon and Ja'Vonne Jackson, is an upbeat, fiery piece featuring mambo, cha cha and merengue.
"The Bee's Knee's," choreographed by dance adjunct professor Laura Harrell, features the students of the DANC Jazz I/II Technique class. This work takes a contemporary approach to staple 1920s dance steps like the Charleston and will have you dancing in your seats!
"Entwined" is sure to be a diverse, fun evening of dance that you will not want to miss!
Admission is free.
