The Cinema WOW! Film Series features eight films exploring the theme “Breaking Boundaries” through a wide-range of Hollywood, independent and foreign releases.

LSC-CyFair presenters host the films, offered as individual continuing education Film Appreciation classes, as well as an engaging discussion after the movie.

The spring series kicks off with “II Posto” Wednesday, Jan. 28.

February films include “Expelled, No Intelligence Allowed” Wednesday, Feb. 4; “The Great Debaters” Wednesday, Feb. 11 and “Persepolis” Saturday, Feb. 21 (at LSC-Fairbanks Center.)

March films include “Down With Love” Wednesday, March 4; and “Iron Jawed Angels” Wednesday, March 25.

April films include “Bonnie and Clyde” Saturday, April 4 (at LSC-Fairbanks Center); “Passion of Christ” Wednesday, April 8; “Sound and Fury” Wednesday, April 15 and “Billy Elliot” Wednesday, April 29.

All films are shown at 7 p.m. in Art 102 in the Center for the Arts building on the LSC-CyFair Barker Cypress campus at 9191 Barker Cypress, except two, which will be held at noon at the LSC-Fairbanks Center, room 105, at 14955 Northwest Freeway.

Registration is required for this popular series, which is open to the community at no charge.
