Don’t miss the riveting drama “A Piece of My Heart” April 17 through April 27 at Lone Star College-CyFair.
Taken back in time to the Vietnam War, audiences will gain a different perspective from six courageous women - an Army intelligence officer, an American Red Cross volunteer, a Navy nurse and two Army nurses, and a USO entertainer. This drama, recommended for mature audiences only, seamlessly interweaves their stories in a moving, striking and mercurial work of literature.
The LSC-CyFair Theatre Department presents “A Piece of My Heart” written by Shirley Lauro and suggested by the book by Keith Walker, with Ron Jones directing, Gabe Montoya providing
musical accompaniment and Daria James with choreography.
This spring production opens April 17 at 7:30 p.m. with preview night tickets only $5. Other show times are 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 24 and 3 p.m. Sunday, April 27.
A reception will follow the April 18 performance.
Tickets are $12, seniors $10 and students $5 with proper id. Discounted group tickets are also available.
All performances will be held in the Black Box Theatre located in the Center for the Arts building, located at 9191 Barker Cypress at West Road.
