Vying for cash prizes against 26 competitors and performing in front of a record 240 in attendance, Cy-Ridge High School Junior Daniel Ortiz again took first place at Lone Star College-CyFair’s Spring Poetry Slam.

Taking second in the evening of original performance poetry in celebration of National Poetry Month was Brandie McGee, LSC-CyFair student and taking third was Robert Price, a Cy-Falls High School student.
