The Professional Pilot Program of Lone Star College-Conroe Center (LSC-Conroe Center) successfully participated in the 2023 Wings Over Houston Airshow (WOHA) for the fourth consecutive year. Held at Ellington Airfield in Houston, TX, on October 14-15, 2023, the airshow attracted thousands of aviation enthusiasts. Amidst the aerial event, LSC-Conroe Center's Professional Pilot Program proudly hosted a booth, seizing the incredible opportunity to showcase its exceptional professional pilot program degree.
The 39th Annual WOHA is a volunteer-led event that aims to honor first responders and support military veterans. In addition to a variety of airshow attractions and aircraft displays, the event featured the 9/11 NEVER FORGET Mobile Exhibit, the Houston Veteran Business Marketplace, and a toy drive for underserved children. Beyond showcasing the aviation thrills, the airshow’s greater purpose demonstrated its commitment to giving back to the Houston community.
The LSC-Conroe Center booth was a standout attraction, drawing excitement and surprise from young pilots-in-training who were eager to learn about their opportunity to become professional pilots. The program’s plane parked in front of the booth also added to the intrigue, by showcasing photo and educational opportunities for all attendees. Valuable information from the field of nursing to the exhilarating career of aviation left no stone unturned in their pursuit to promote the College’s high-quality educational opportunities.
Attendees were delighted to discover that the Professional Pilot Program not only offers a comprehensive curriculum but also provides unique program benefits for its students. These include career-oriented flight training, access to training aircraft, simulators, and self-checking authorized instructors, all designed to prepare students for a career as a professional pilot.
