The Lone Star College-Carver Center is celebrating National Poetry Month with its Seventh Annual Poetry Slam, hosted by the Learning Center. Scheduled for April 25th at 1:00 p.m., the poetry slam will feature captivating performances by students, faculty and staff. LSC-Carver Center is located at 2330 S. Victory Street in Houston, Texas.
Throughout the month, poetry lovers are invited to stop by the center for an ongoing display of poetic literature, to enjoy “art house cinema” in the student gallery, and to experience the soul-stirring work of talented staff and students. Aspiring poets can also bring their work to the writing center for professional feedback and advice.
