Twelve students have been selected to represent Lone Star College-Montgomery as Student Ambassadors for the spring 2012 semester.
Chosen by academic performance, personal interview, and faculty recommendation, the ambassadors serve as a liaison between the college, current and prospective students, and the community. They promote the college and assist at public functions, community events, and campus and system-wide events.
The ambassadors are (back row, l. to r.): Javier Fernandez-Han; Giancarlo Hernandez, vice president; Mardochee Basseg; Moi Robinson; Angela Tallant; Ivan Ruchhoeft; and Elvis Murray; (front row, l. to r.): Brenda Cruz; Anastasiya Ovchinnikova, president; Sara Gonzalez; Luis Lopez; and Angel Guajardo.
“We have an exciting group of students this semester who bring a wide range of backgrounds and experiences to the organization,” said Denise Meyers, program coordinator for theatre/fine arts at LSC-Montgomery. “The ambassadors are really into community service and have some plans for outreach this semester.”
