Lone Star College-CyFair can save students even more time and money through a new one-day-a-week “Core Fridays” program now available.
This new program is designed to allow students to take up to four core classes (or 12 semester hours) toward an associate’s degree on campus, once a week, in one day. Not only are classes scheduled between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., students also have access to a full range of support services including tutoring and a world-class library as well as staff assistance in student services and division offices.
“More than 50 percent of our students work while they attend school. This program provides an opportunity for them to do both successfully,” said Vice President of Student Learning Dr. Feleccia Moore-Davis. “Additionally, many Houston area businesses also allow flex time for employees, making Core Fridays and optimal way to earn course credits, earn a degree and start a new career.”
Fall 2009 core classes include English, math, history, government, kinesiology, speech and economics. Other courses will be available future semesters.
Fall registration begins April 2. For information, go to CyFair.LoneStar.edu.
